In this  Episode of Season 2, The BAU team is to investigate the murders of prostitutes in Washington, D.C. Some complications arise when a congresswoman forces Hotch to call off a press conference to discuss this crime, she being concerned that it will have a negative impact on her image. The team finally realizes that the culprit is based in Washington; they talk to a group of women whom the killer had targeted, and are able to zero in upon their man. Even the Congresswoman is able to testify regarding his identity. The culprit turns out to be a man named Ronald Weems, the head of a group called the ‘The Decency Watch’. There is one statement made by Prentiss, criticizing the political system: “I think politics makes people distrustful. I think it makes them hate themselves. I think it tears families apart, and damages people. So if there’s nothing else, I would like to get back out on the street and find out who’s killing these women. … Sir.” There is yet another similar comment made by Rhonda: “We always see the same politicians talking about cleaning up the Hill. The ones who drop fifty bucks with us right before they give the speech.”
