Paget Brewster was brought up in Massachusetts. She studied at a New England boarding school. Both her parents worked as teachers in the same school. Later, Paget attended the Parsons School of Design, located in New York, where she studied for one year.

Paget is a dark-haired and quick witted woman, who posses a captivating smile in addition to a playful magnetism. She had a relationship with actor Jay Johnsto. She also intermittently works as a photographer for SuicideGirls.com, which is a modeling website.

It was disclosed by Paget that Hugh Hefner wanted her to pose for Playboy, which was suggested in the handwritten message she had recently received. Being an admirer of the magazine, Paget had given a serious thought to the offer and had even received the blessings of her parents for the same. However, she had finally turned down the offer due to her career considerations.

Paget started her career in New York as a singer for an underground rock band. She later moved to San Francisco, where she earned a name as a local TV celebrity. Role In Criminal Minds

In Criminal Minds, she has portrayed the character of Emily Prentiss. She is the daughter of Ambassador Elizabeth Prentiss, who joins the team as a replacement for Agent Elle Greenaway. Having lived in the Middle East, she is able to speak Arabic fluently and also has a hold over the Russian and Spanish languages. She has to convince the team that her transfer to BAU was not a result of her parents calling up favors and misusing their powers. Later, she comes to know that she was not assigned to the BAU due to her merits, but due to the personal interference of BAU supervisor Erin Strauss. She also finds out that Strauss wanted her in the team, so that she can keep an eye on Aron Hotch and tries to sabotage his career by passing on information back to Strauss.
