It’s just that she is out of Criminal Minds!

Ashley Seaver, an FBI Cadet, would not inhabit the minds of criminals anymore! For a very simple reason: she won’t be on the show anymore. Rachel has been, as they say, axed! Sacked, booted out, terminated, call it what you will!

The poor lady was on a sweet vacation, and learned the news over the internet. Couldn’t Erica Messer – the show-runner – have mailed her a letter of explanation, with an apology for the termination? You must be from Andromeda galaxy!

Rachel entered the scene of Criminal Minds in season 6, and remained there till the end of it, thereby completing a successful run of thirteen episodes. Well, that wasn’t enough for Ms. Nichols, who says she is heartbroken by the decision that has come her way; or should we say the axe that came her way? I know…that analogy’s way too much; I’ll stop!

But would the character of Ashley too just stop at, you know, where it is right now? I mean, would the creators prefer not to close the door on Ashley? Erica hasn’t ruled out the possibility but says she is not too sure if her return is possible.

Well, we can deduce: she’ been properly axed, Rachel!

But the question still lingers, and we wouldn’t have a proper answer until the arrival of the new season 7. It has been only recently renewed, so the filming is still to take place. It means we will have to wait for some time.

Inducing collective amnesia could be a way out!

She says that getting fired taught her so many things, and made her a completely different person from what she used to be earlier. She has been commented on her behavior of trusting every person easily.

She’d definitely approach her work and people around her in a much more practical and realistic way, which I know would come across through her acting as well.

All of us had been waiting for the return of her character, and although Ashley Seaver (portrayed by Rachel Nichols) did a good job, nothing could replace JJ Jareau.
